InfinityŽ Pitch Control Technology While there are a number of common chemical methods used to control pitch deposition, none to date have been able to simultaneously address two or more of the parameters that influence deposition. However, with the recent introduction of Hercules’ Infinity® pitch control technology, this has changed. Product Overview Infinity® pitch control technology is a new, patented organic contaminant control product for stock treatment. Designed for use in the pulp mill and bleach plant, the technology combines the benefits of a detackifier, stabilizer, and fixative to simultaneously address multiple deposition parameters, thereby significantly reducing or eliminating the potential for pitch deposition. In fact, results recorded from practical applications of the technology confirm that it is considerably more effective at controlling pitch deposition and dirt than talc or any other commercially available technology. Mode of Action Infinity® pitch control technology is formulated with a liquid cellulose-based polymer that utilizes a unique hydrophobic and hydrophilic design to detackify colloidal material. This nonionic polymer adsorbs onto the colloidal material, enhancing stability and modifying the contaminant surface to reduce adhesion. Features The major features of Infinity® pitch control technology are as follows:
Benefits The following benefits were recorded from practical applications of Infinity® pitch control technology. Not all benefits are realized for all applications.
