Wilmington, DE, June 11, 2003 - - The Pulp and Paper Division of Hercules Incorporated has introduced a new range of surface treatments for tissue.  ProSoft® Lotionising Technology can be applied off machine during the converting or rewinding processes and is designed to impart conditioning properties to the final tissue and also enhance surface softness.  Custom made by Hercules, the ProSoft® Lotions offer a wide choice of effects such as surface softness, skin transfer, skin conditioning and perfumed tissue.

The properties of all these lotions can be further enhanced by the incorporation of additives such as skin conditioning and treating as well as the well-known benefits associated with some plant extracts.

Hercules has also developed a low cost air atomising spray system for applying these products.  This is an effective, easily installed system that allows these products to be applied without the costs traditionally involved with this type of application.
