Wilmington, DE, Aug. 11, 2003 - - The Pulp and Paper Division of Hercules Incorporated has introduced the latest addition to its range of crepe control products for tissue.

Crepetrol® Creping Technology and Rezosol® Release Technology are complementary products comprising creping adhesives that are fully crosslinked polymers for coating stability (patented by Hercules Incorporated), coating rheology modifiers, and multifunctional release agents.

These new technologies, which are applied by spray onto the Yankee cylinder during the manufacture of tissue, are designed to provide cost effective sheet quality and improve machine runnability for the tissuemaker, from the economy producer to the premium quality Through Air Dried (TAD) manufacturer.

The recorded benefits of these new technologies include improved hand-feel, increased bulk, extended doctor blade life, reduced downtime, reduced costs per ton, improved Yankee cylinder protection, and improved machine runnability.

Hercules has also developed a new modeling system to predict the optimum crepe control package for any machine.  This system ensures the most appropriate products are recommended the first time and eliminates much of the risk traditionally associated with changing a crepe control package.
