Hercules Paper Technologies and Ventures will highlight various new technologies at Tissue World 2007. Visit Stand 1D45 to discuss your needs with Hercules Tissue Applications experts and to understand how these latest innovations, developed specifically for the tissue maker, can improve softness, provide bulk enhancement, quality improvement, and most important in today’s market, energy reduction.
Kymene® X-Cel Wet Strength Technology offers higher solids and higher resin functionality than traditional wet strength resins. Key benefits include higher wet tensile strength and significant cost savings in chemical usage and related freight costs.
Crepetrol® X-Cel Creping Technology includes products for maximum performance on the newest machine designs (i.e. Extended Nip and TAD Machines) and offers significant benefits in terms of higher solids, improved adhesion and low sensitivity to system additives. There are also specially designed products for value production facilities where cost effectiveness is the number one priority, as well as new non-oil release products including technology to reduce edge breaks on Crescent former machines.
PerForm® SP Enabling Technology, when used in combination with a cationic co-factor, such as many of the chemicals already used in the process, gives dramatically improved drainage, which has the potential to reduce energy costs. In addition, by controlling the level of fines in the system, chemical efficiencies can be achieved whilst still maintaining current quality and performance targets.
The portfolio of ProSoft® Lotionising Technology allows the manufacture of value-added facial and lotionised grades. Applied to the surface of the tissue during rewinding or converting, these products significantly increase surface softness as well as impart skin transfer and conditioning properties to the final tissue. Hercules has developed new innovative products which visitors to the stand can evaluate for themselves.
Dimension™ Converting Additives are the very latest Hercules development area and includes truly innovative products for use in tissue converting. These provide unique opportunities for Tissue Converters to produce their own differentiated products for the consumer.
